What Flavor Are Your Thoughts?

What flavor of thoughts have you had so far today?

Have they been the sour tasting flavor of worry? Worrying over something that happened, something that has not happened, or over some future thing that may happen?

Have they been that acid flavor of regret or despair, maybe even a tinged with a little resentment?

Have you been tasting the choking bitterness of fear that keeps you stuck and hiding from your potential?

Or, maybe you’ve enjoyed the sweet taste of gratitude, joy, and appreciation?

Whatever the flavor of your thoughts, it’s your choice. You choose where to direct the focus of your thoughts. Thoughts centered in gratitude, joy, and appreciation tends to produce a happy life. Thoughts centered in worry, regret, or fear tends to produce a unhappy life. What you focus on, you get more of.

By focus, I mean the combination of thought and emotion. For instance, worry is an excellent way to focus on bringing what you don’t want into your life (debt, ill health, bad relationships, etc) To attract what you do want, imagine having what you desire and feeling the way you’ll feel when you already have it.

If you’re not sure what you’ve been focusing on, just look around you! Whatever’s been showing up in your life over time is what you’ve been focusing on.

Change your focus and you’ll change your life.

Happiness is an inside job. And really, as Mr Marcus said way back in 1st century, very little is needed to make a happy life. It’s all in the way you think.

What flavor are your thoughts?

Blessings!
